Compliance Screening Requirements

To ensure the safety of our passengers, compliance with regulatory standards, and the integrity of Emmanuel Medical Transport Corp, all drivers are required to successfully complete and maintain the following screening requirements prior to hire and throughout their employment.

These screenings are mandatory and must remain current at all times.

Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) – North Carolina Complete Extract

• Drivers must provide a North Carolina Complete Extract Motor Vehicle Record verifying a safe driving history and valid driver’s license. Drivers may not have more than two chargeable accidents or moving violations within the past three years.

• Required For: All drivers
  Certification Period: Valid for 1 year
  Renewal: Annual review required

National Background Check

• All drivers must successfully pass a national criminal background check prior to transporting passengers. Documentation must be maintained in the driver compliance file and updated annually.

• Required For: All drivers
  Certification Period: Valid for 1 year
  Renewal: Annual background check required

National Sex Offender Registry Check

• All drivers must successfully pass a National Sex Offender Registry check prior to transporting for passengers. Documentation of the registry search must be maintained in the driver compliance file and updated annually  

• Required For: All drivers
  Certification Period: Valid for 1 year
  Renewal: Annual verification required

Drug Screening

• All drivers must successfully complete a drug screening prior to transporting passengers. A negative test result must be documented and maintained in the driver compliance file.

• Required For: All drivers
  Certification Period: Valid for 1 year
  Renewal: Annual testing may be required in accordance with company policy
